INTERESTED IN BECOMING A CTE TEACHER?Thank you for your interest in Career Technical Education. To apply for a teaching position at GUHSD CTE, you must have a Designated Subjects/CTE credential or the ability to attain one. We post all current openings on Edjoin. 1st Time Teachers:
- For information on how to obtain a teaching credential, reference the SDCOE credentialing website .
- All CTE teachers must have three years of work experience directly related to each industry sector named on the CTE credential. At least one year of the required work experience must be within the last five (5) years or two (2) years within the last 10 years preceding the issuance of the preliminary credential.
Teachers with existing credentials: - All CTE teachers must have three years of work experience directly related to each industry sector named on the vocational credential. At least one year of the required work experience must be within the last five (5) years or two (2) years within the last 10 years immediately preceding the issuance of the preliminary credential.
- Note: a Secondary credential (teaching experience) does not automatically qualify you to teach a CTE course. Industry experience is necessary.
